I guess I coulda/shoulda contacted Bob Green about billy's unexplained post deletion but -jk took care of it promptly and politely and Bob Green re-inforced that fact to us here. So, we now have a new member and billy will continue to provide expert orthopedic analysis to the folks on DBR (and here, too, hopefully)billy wrote:He did, and I did! BTW, as devildeac said, they gave me a good explanation for the deletion.... Had not intended to never post there again, and I have since.captmojo wrote:So...of course, you recommended he come here?devildeac wrote: I got a PM tonight from one of my orthopedic surgical colleagues and he also thought it was a good sign. He said if surgery was planned, it would not have been casted. He also had one of his posts deleted OY that discussed foot/toe injuries. No PM, no explanation. He doesn't think he'll be posting there anymore.

As much as we hate it, you know Kyrie is hating it most. Bright side for the team is that we still have some games before ACC action gets under way, I have no doubts that we'll be just fine. I sure do miss seeing him play though.Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said Wednesday during his XM Radio show that freshman point guard Kyrie Irving will be out "a long time."

Re: Kyrie Irving status
He does appear to be that kind of young man/player. I keep looking back to 2001 when K re-designed the line-up after Boozer's injury. Ditto for 1991 (IIRC) after he re-engineered the line-up for about a month after Hurley's metatarsal fracture. If he never returns, we will have had a month to prepare/practice for it and be stronger, mentally and physically, though we will be a bit thinner with our depth. If he returns, great and I pity our opponents. Well, not really pity .CameronBornAndBred wrote:As much as we hate it, you know Kyrie is hating it most. I agree with you, he was amazing to watch.

Surgery looking less likely now. Possibility still exists for a late Feb/early March return.

You can make the difference between 40-0 and a national championship and 39-1 and a national championship.

Kyrie Irving's toe could beat Harrison Barnes' toe at almost any contest including backgammon.
