What does it taste like? I've never eaten buffalo. Does it taste like wild game?

Next time you're in Durham stop by Ted's (Turner) Montana Grill

Their bison pot roast and bison meat loaf are my favorites.

Best of all, there's a huge mounted bison head on the wall over the kitchen door that watches you while you eat it.
And, seldom is heard a discouraging word. :D

And the skies are not cloudy all day (though we might like a few clouds. Maybe some prairie breezes, too?)

"They" are talking about rain on Sunday (finally!). Hope it doesn't come in until late Saturday night after all of us are long gone from Brunchgate.

I do not think I could eat the bison while it watched me.

It doesn't really taste like chicken, does it? What does it really taste like?

Not like chicken - more like beef. You will like it and probably wouldn't even know it was bison if someone didn't tell you.

Agreed. Very much like beef, almost indistinguishable.

Seriously, it does taste like beef. It's leaner than beef, but bison burgers taste like hamburgers, bison steaks taste like steak, and so on. If no one told you it was bison burger, you'd think it was hamburger.

I hope you will all cheer loudly for the Blue Devils for me. We're going to Asheville for my hubby to start Cycle North Carolina. I'll take my laptop and try to plug into the game online, but I'll be there in spirit! Have a wonderful time at Brunchgate and remember to stay hydrated. GO DUKE!!

I tried Bison before in the wilds of Wyoming back in the last Summer of '99. It tastes like beef for the most part. Although where I had my "Buffalo Burger" ("With real Bison meat!") it was a little on the greasy side, but I attribute it more to the greasy spoon joint I was at than the meat itself.

It'll be good, just give it a go. If not, we'll give ya your money back! lol
