They definitely stand the test of time. Both of them are fuckin' hilarious.bjornolf wrote:
Does anybody remember the Fletch and Jerk movies? I liked those back in the day, but haven't seen them in a while. Do they stand the test of time, but did I just like them with my juvenile sense of humor back then.
I'm 31, maybe there is something wrong with me?bjornolf wrote:I guess I'm too young, but I never appreciated Peter Sellers's humor. Just never got it. However, I did like Laurel and Hardy and Charlie Chaplin.
Dude, there is nothing trite about loving Caddyshack or Fast Times at Ridgemont High. They are both great and I got your back.bjornolf wrote:Yea, Christmas Vacation is awesome. It's probably my favorite of the vacation movies, though the original is a REALLY close second.
I definitely liked Funny Farm, too, though I wouldn't really call it a Christmas movie. The mailman in that movie is a riot.

I missed a word on my post, I meant to say Funny Farm was NOT a Christmas movie, but it had a chunk of it set at Christmas. (When they bought off all the neighbors to act nice.) I'm sorry. I loved it. The simple nature of the man and the surprise ending.DukieInKansas wrote:Except the one where he was the gardener. That was the most depressing movie I have ever seen.captmojo wrote:Anything starring Peter Sellers!Miles wrote:I laughed until it hurt watching Supertroopers. I like their shenanigans.
Manos the Hands of Fate, and This Island Earth episodes of Mystery Science 3000 get my vote for a good chuckle.
Better Off Dead

I really enjoyed Forgetting Sarah Marshall too. In fact, I DVR'd it off of HBO last night, to watch it sometime in the next few days.DevilAlumna wrote:For recent hilarious movies, Superbad is hard to beat, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall was surprisingly LOL-worthy. Even the DVD extras for that had me rofling.
