Oh, btw, the public court records for Orange County, NC, show a bunch of traffic citations and a noise ordinance violation for a Marvin Austin, Jr. :auto-sportbike: Frankly, it doesn't appear to be anything serious, but still, it's just stupid. It must be two or more separate incidents, unless someone can explain to me how a person can get an illegal window tint and riding a motorcycle without a helmet at the same time.

The internet is a fun thing....

Well, well. I wonder what Anchorman Austin will do with his time now? Tweet? Hang out in South Beach? Play catch with Weslye Saunders?
Travel with his agent?

Maybe Kentwan Balmer can fly Austin out to California again. Oh, that's right, after underperforming spectacularly, Balmer got traded to the 49ers' first division opponents, the Seahawks.

Or maybe he can go to San Fran and hang out with the buddy who threw the big party in South Beach, Frank Gore.

In an unexpected turn of events before Saturday's game with LSU, one of the guys who comes to my tailgate parties just sent me a message saying he might not make it to Saturday's party. Said he just got a call from Butch Davis who wants him to play Saturday. :)) =)) :ymdevil: :-o

Wonder if Lawrence Taylor's bond would allow him to come back and play...

Stealing a bit of info from DBR who reported it from espn: 16 players will sit out the lsu game. I'm thinking that represents 6-8 defensive players and apparently most of their RB.

I'm sorry folks, I need to go to the ER now. My gut is busted, my britches are soiled and I got an electrical shock from my laptop as the diet Coke I was drinking and the 110V power source were just not compatible. "the carolina way"-my ass.

I've heard that Carolina is hoping to be able to have sequential suspensions once the ruling comes down. That way a few are out each game but not the whole DL at one time. :violin:

I hope such manipulations are not allowed.... hardly fits double secret probation as I interpret it. :happy-bouncyblue:

Another point elated to this whole mess: sportswriters are headed to Atlanta rather than cover a wider variety of games Saturday because it's the only way they'll get a copy of the depth chart.

If plagiarism is the crime, then suspension for the semester/year is supposed to be the punishment. If they received benefits from agents, then they ain't amateurs anymore and should be ineligible permanently. You are right, though, there should be no manipulation of this.

I'd accept a semester suspension for the DL then Duke can play whoever is eligible in November.

The word this morning is that Greg Little won't be going with the team to Atlanta. It will be interesting to see who else has to stay at home.....

As a patient left the office this AM after his treadmill, during which we talked about recent investigations, he asked me one favor: to take it easy on the tarheels. I told him, "sure."

The status of three others is undetermined. I bet they don't play, either. They haven't been named.
