I'm still giddy. Almost everything we have done/said the last few days has involved some conversation/reference to the NC. Awesome.

I was really torn which one to link. I think Bruce's version is probably my favorite but went with Mitch Ryder's because it is the original (AFAIK), is a bit shorter and does not include the CC Rider in the medley. Your choice is an excellent one. Heck, I'll listen to both of them again before the night is over and probably a couple times tomorrow, too.Devil in the Blue Dress wrote:May I add this version of my song?devildeac wrote:For those who just can't get enough of this song (like me):

Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.

I understand there is a Sports Illustrated Championship Edition on sale in NC for around $8. Has anyone seen it on the newsstand? I'm wondering if some wonderful person in NC would be interested in purchasing one for me? I would compensate for the magazine and postage - plus be indebted to said wonderful person for quite a while.

Is that the same one they're selling as a promotion for ordering a subscription to the magazine?DukieInKansas wrote:I understand there is a Sports Illustrated Championship Edition on sale in NC for around $8. As best I can tell, it is different. Only on newsstands in Duke territory. Apparently, they did one for unc last year.bjornolf wrote:Is that the same one they're selling as a promotion for ordering a subscription to the magazine?DukieInKansas wrote:I understand there is a Sports Illustrated Championship Edition on sale in NC for around $8. Probably not an SI issue, but I'll bet there will be a nifty little NIT Runner-Up banner hanging proudly from the dome thingy rafters. I wonder if they will have a ceremony at the first home game to raise that banner and to hand out the plastic candy runner-up rings?

Re: Duke University, 2010 NCAA Champions!
And on another note, I would like to see the following;
One car. One back bumper. Two bumper stickers.
1st (left side): "Duke Blue Devils - 2010 National Champions!"
2nd (right side): "Tarheels! 2010 NIT Runners-up!"
That would please me. Or perhaps a shirt of the same.

Re: Duke University, 2010 NCAA Champions!
Does anyone know when the Duke Championship SI issue will be on news stands? My subscription JUST ran out and my renewal won't pick up for a month or so. It wasn't on news stands over the weekend, as apparently, the last issue came out ON the day of the final. Thanks.

Re: Duke University, 2010 NCAA Champions!
I found a special edition USA Today and Sports Illustrated over the weekend! The regular SI was only like a 4 page article so I opted for the whole book. All the excitement going on last Tuesday I forgot to pick up newspapers..
I love Duke!!!

Son of Mojo bought the special on Saturday. I read it this morning. Great article on Coach, and back page article by Rebecca Sun were great. SI will be making this available in hardback.

Can I also get a commemorative edition of the Charlotte paper that preempts championship coverage with its hard-hitting expose of springtime pollen?CameronBornAndBred wrote:The News & Observer is selling their April 6th papers and will ship.
