Somedays I do lament the time spent in front of a PC.

I called Verison today to tell them I was planning on changing to Smart Talk, who uses all of Verisons towers. When the rep ask me why, I told her Smart Talk is so much cheaper. The rep then cut my bill $26.00 a month.which is close as what Smart Talk price is. It made me happy. I then decided to call our in home phon carrier, Centry Link. I said we were seriously considering dropping our service because it's way to expensive for what is worth to us. They took $46.00 a month off my bill. I'm happier. :D

$72 a month in savings is time well spent on the phone...

I'm watching the Va. Tech Pitt game. What a game. It's tied 29-29. Fourth quarter. Tech is knocking on the door again.

In games like that, I'm not sure who to root for.

When I was in high school, I went to Tech games. Yup, I pull for Tech, unless Duke is playing then. :duke:

VT. 1) Beamer doesn't coach there anymore and, 2) if they win, there's less chance of the cheaters winning the Coastal Division. :D

Me too.

Since the bailiffs who have my back are almost entirely VT fans I pull for them. Self preservation. :9f:

We have a new neighbor across the street. She moved here from Michigan to work at Duke. That makes THREE Duke flags that will fly now right here at our intersection (just around the corner from Ol'Roy)! The neighborhood groans are audible.

When I took over the traditional flowers from the yard she told us a good story about her house search with a local realtor. She was being shown a property in a rather rural part of town and called her new boss to ask if that was a good neighborhood. The boss said that yes, it was a VERY good neighborhood and that, in fact, she'd live very near Coach K! She relayed that to her realtor whose response to the new Duke employee was, "Well wouldn't THAT be something? You could be neighbors with Ratface!"

It was only my new neighbor's first encounter with one of those classless Neanderthals. She's probably had a few more by now.

Love, Ima
PS This should probably be on the "You can't make this stuff up" thread.

And this is why I despise most heels fans. I'm glad your neighborhood is becoming the proper shade of blue :)

My question is why didn't she fire her Realtor?
