BTW, he put steaks down his pants and tried to leave Walmart. :ymsick: :9f:
Our local WalMart has a loss protection crew the size of our municipal police department. But they don't look or sound like the local police department. WalMart's loss prevention team members look, dress and talk like typical WalMart shoppers. . . even in court! WalMart is the #1 destination in town for police calls--between assaults (and shootings) in the parking lot and thefts inside the store, WalMartians keep our police force busy. :Police:

Just go here: http://egov.greenvillenc.gov/onlinerepo ... eports.pdf and do a Control F search of the term "WalMart" or even "Walmart 1" You'll see what I mean.

Here is a list of businesses in Greenville, N.C. from which one should NOT attempt to take the five finger discount: WalMart, Piggly-Wiggly, BestBuy (duh--there are cameras everywhere!) and Belk. :bandit: Their loss prevention teams are excellent, and shoplifters will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law!

I had to sign a form today in which I acknowledged that my salary is paid by grants, and my job can be eliminated if the money goes away. Given the significant cut in our budget, this makes me very, very nervous.

Good thing you have an offer in hand, even if it's not the one you want.

Me, too! I cut it 12, 10, and 7 years ago. As for cable, I cut that 14 years ago.

RIP Frank Gifford! I didn't realize Frank was 84 years old. Prayers to Kathie Lee Gifford, and Cody and Cassidy and to all family and friends.
