I bought Kirkland (Costco) brand popcorn. It is so good. No artificial ingredients. The price comes to a little less than 25 cents a pack. I love Costo.

Thanks, LG.lawgrad91 wrote:Once a group is certified as a class for purposes of a class action suit, attorney's fees and costs come off the top of the settlement and then the rest of the settlement is divided among the class. I don't know what the costs usually figure out to be, but I would think 60 percent seems high.Very Duke Blue wrote:Our friend, Jim, was put on Xarelto last year. He called Bud, told him he could hardly walk. Bud left the lake for Burlington to take him to the ER. He was admitted and given 2 units of blood. He has been contacted by an attorney regarding a class action suit. I ask him what percent the attorney would charge, 60% was the answer. I was shocked. I thought it be 40%. Cathy, LG anyone else who may know, is this normal for a CAS? Also, because a CAS is in progress, does he has to go that way? I'm at a loss. In all my years at Duke, I was never involved in a CAS. Any help is appreciated.
He does not have to join the class; he can opt out or sue on his own or attempt to work out his own settlement. I don't know many people who have ever tried that and can't give any advice about that. I have been a part of a few class action suits, but not for anything that made any difference to me, or frankly anything I paid attention to. I got a $20 check from Dish Network once, and a few bucks credit from an iTunes suit. That's about it.
Kyle is flying to Minneapolis after his exam on the 23rd. I'm going on the 28th, the day Kyle leaves. I will fly home on the 4th. Wish could stay longer but very happy we can help.Very Duke Blue wrote:Thanks everyone. An update of Donna. The ct scan shows the inner and outer ankle is broken. I wish I could be there to help her. We have Max's graduation Monday. Then we are going to the mountain house for a Shelton family reunion. Dana can't go. Her dog is a sweet dog from Hell. No one else can deal with him. We can't have him here because he inside about all the time and has been know to "mark". I hate it. Maybe I can figure way to go later.

I saw where the Costco "Kirkland Brand" was on sale. Good to know the popcorn is tasty and inexpensive.Very Duke Blue wrote:I bought Kirkland (Costco) brand popcorn. It is so good. No artificial ingredients. The price comes to a little less than 25 cents a pack. I love Costo.
Shaq Powell's little brother is Malachi Briggs. I posted under the Football section, "Shaq Powell". There is a gofundme website in case anyone wants to donate money. The Powell and Briggs families have had enormous medical bills, and of course final expense.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Malachi Powell passed away this morning. Condolences and vibes to Shaquille and family.
