TVGN network which is now POP, is airing the "Dynasty" series! Wow, that's a 80s retro great show! Loved Dynasty and The Colbys back in the day! Knot's Landing was my favorite!

Re: LTE 2.0
A new player has entered the game. I spoke with the friend who helped me get the STL job and told him about my current situation. It turns out that his current group is getting ready to shop for a senior level person, and I would be a great fit. It's located in Chicago, and I'd be at the same school as a certain former Duke assistant coach. I'm supposed to get him an updated CV so he can circulate it. He will then arrange face time with some people at our upcoming professional meeting.

Re: LTE 2.0
This thing is getting legs. My friend spoke with his boss, and he is interested. I'm supposed to put together a CV so they can discuss me at their staff meeting tomorrow.
I told MacGyver part of the story (not that I'm definitely interviewing with them). He promptly started badmouthing my friend's boss. He knows him well and has worked with him in the past. I've heard some not so great things as well, so lots of good reasons to be cautious. However, I will definitely go into this with an open mind.

OMG!!! The biggest ass vibes on the face of the earth that this works out and that it is the perfect fit for you!!! BTW, When I lived in the Chicago burbs, I would go to Evanston when I was homesick. Although it's no where near as pretty as Duke, it felt good to be there.ArkieDukie wrote:A new player has entered the game. Re: LTE 2.0
Thanks for the vibes, all! I'm excited and nervous. My friend's boss is one of the top people in the country in our field, so I'd be back swimming with some big fish. The great irony here is that I wasn't even considered to be a suitable candidate locally for a position similar to my old one. Another level of irony: multiple rumors had The Boss interviewing at NW. Sounds like that fell through, though. Best of all: this person I'm interviewing with? One of his areas of interest is the same as WEC's. Unlike WEC, though, he actually IS a world's expert. (Yes, that's how The Boss introduces WEC to everyone. )
If this actually happens and I decide it's what I want to do, multiple people here will have a stroke. (Suckas!)

If you do go there, please take a picture of you boss and wec, immediately after you tell them.ArkieDukie wrote:Thanks for the vibes, all! I'm excited and nervous.
