Re: LTE 2.0
I bought Chloe a new scratcher toy thing today (it hangs from a doorknob and she's supposed to "scratch" it instead of furniture, and yes though she's declawed in front, she still has the instinct). Well, said scratcher toy thingie has catnip in it. So Chloe has decided she likes it better as a chew toy.

Re: LTE 2.0
I believe I have reached or exceeded my self-imposed 1 hour limit on CT today and that "pledged" to DinK (or was it AD?) and Lavabe. Back to reading and more tomorrow.  ;)

Good idea for the evening: Go home after dinner and have a nice apple.
Reality: Go to Cold Stone after dinner and have a treat.
And really, it wasn't all that. Ugh.

Re: LTE 2.0
Yea, Cold Stone is kind of evil. It seems like it should be really good, but it's not. I find that it actually has TOO many mixins in a lot of their "creations". I find myself much more satisfied if I just order an ice cream with one or two, rather than order one of their suggestions with 5+. Not worth the calories, either. I've noticed a lot of the restaurants around here have started offering cheaper, "shooter" desserts. I think that's a great idea. Gives you just a taste of something sweet to complete the meal without making you feel all bloated and guilty.Sue71 wrote:Good idea for the evening: Go home after dinner and have a nice apple.

Well, y'all, it's been swell. Think I'll head off to bed now. Just finished my edit of my book, so tomorrow, I guess I'll start trying to figure out this whole publishing morass. Trying to decide whether I need an agent or not, and if anybody's even publishing new authors in these crappy times. Wish me luck! No, seriously, I need it.

Worse idea - go to Cold Stone FOR dinner.Sue71 wrote:Good idea for the evening: Go home after dinner and have a nice apple.

Actually, I went to Dairy Queen for lunch, and ate my ice cream cone first. (It was dripping, what else could I do? It hit 90-something here!)

Re: LTE 2.0
They put up a Cold Stone here at the beach and it lasted all of about 6 months. It's still there with the sign, but it has been out of business for a while now. The coffee shop that was built adjacent to it (they shared the building) is still doing well.Sue71 wrote:Good idea for the evening: Go home after dinner and have a nice apple.

Re: LTE 2.0
I worked at a Marble Slab Creamery (the Wendy's to Cold Stone's McDonald's) for a summer. The most fucking miserable place and experience of all my years. I still have a burn scar on my elbow from the edge of the waffle (cone) iron. On more than one occasion, I've been with friends who wanted to go there, and opted instead to stand on the sidewalk and wait for them. I refuse to ever return.

Er, who stole Wilson's Braves hat from wherever he left it?

Re: LTE 2.0
I think it's in my car somewhere. I can't seem to unearth it in my room. But I don't feel like walking the couple of blocks to my car to check right now. It's too hot. Instead, I'm lying here, shirtless, posting in my room with a PBR longneck.Sue71 wrote:Er, who stole Wilson's Braves hat from wherever he left it?
I'm not terribly worried about the missing hat. This is quite a regular occurrence...embarrassingly regular.

Maybe you should go to the archives in your current state... your archivist friend might be inclined to "help" you even more. ;)

I'm referring to the lady that works there, not the kook that got you on your last roll.

Nah, the archive was dead this afternoon. Part of why I was itching to get out of there. I'm gonna get out and snap some pics around town with my new toy once it cools off some (and perhaps following a wee nap).Sue71 wrote:Maybe you should go to the archives in your current state... your archivist friend might be inclined to "help" you even more. ;)

Well it depends if Wilson was going to go in sans shirt or not.CameronBornAndBred wrote:How much action can there be in an archive?wilson wrote:Nah, the archive was dead this afternoon.
