Colbert's pistachio commercial was the clear winner. Nothing else came close.

After the Supe, I switched over to Sherlock. Mrs. Turk watched for about 5 minutes and said, "Do you have any idea what's going on? This is too bizarre." However, I think I'm hooked.

Check the PBS web site or Netflix. I saw both seasons on Amazon Prime.

I'm going back to cable after a 3 month hiatus. They are paying for the next 5 months.

It wsdn't so much the programming that I missed, but the DVR. To get a viable single box solution(Tivo) requires a subscription. If I'm going to do that might as well get the programming I do miss along with it.

Slept better last night, it was either because I could watch the game, I was on my normal caffeine routine, or I felt better about a work project.

Sleep is a good thing. I need to do more of it.

Cinnamon toast crunch commercials are creepy. Those little cereal bites are cannibals. :9f:

The Boss stuck his head in my office around 2, requesting my presence in a meeting at 3:00. My instructions were to "Be quiet and agree with whatever I say." Flash forward to the meeting, attended by myself and Wile E. Coyote, among others. The Boss introduced Wile E. Coyote as a "world's expert extraordinaire" in the same field that's my area of expertise. (Not hardly.) My introduction was a somewhat dismissive, "She does bioinformatics and data mining." You cannot imagine how difficult it was to not say a word in this particular meeting, especially after WEC's glowing intro. I even managed to not go into a hysterical gagging fit, and I did not say a word throughout the interminable 75 min meeting.

The meeting was related to a research project, funded by a H U G E grant from a local private foundation. Wile E. Coyote is doing part of the research for this grant (the area in which Road Runner and I are also experts). WEC has convinced The Boss that the work RR and I been doing is not as good as what he does, so The Boss steers all important, highly funded projects to him. This works for people outside our department. Pretty much everyone in our department with a brain has figured out that WEC is an idiot; all of the competent ones come to Road Runner and/or me for collaborations. The folks who don't know any better (and typically have not-so-great projects) are steered to WEC the World's Expert Extraordinaire. Isn't it funny how WEC's manipulations have a bright side. :ymdevil:

So for a few minutes, Yahoo! was showing my local weather location as Havana. Not sure about that, but what it did was:

9F

When I left work last night, my car said it was 9F. Today the high around here is supposed to be 9F. Wish we were playing unc today - it would be perfect.
