Good morning. The only traffic issues we have are when the draw bridge is open.

Good morning!
When I was in high school, the dad of one of my girlfriends was in a hurry to play golf in Brunswick County. He tried to beat the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, and he blew by the barricade arms as they were dropping. Unfortunately, the bridge operator had already begun lifting the central span of the bridge. My friend's dad and his car drove/fell right off the bridge and into the Cape Fear River. My friend's dad was okay, but his golf clubs were ruined.

Harumph. Lab lunch got put off until today, and I just got an email from PHB with a task request that will take hours to complete. He wants to go over it at 1:30.

Tell him it'll have to wait, you have a prior commitment that precludes you performing the lab work properly and it will be ruined if you start it this morning in order to have it completed by 1:30 this afternoon.

Good morning!
PHB is gone until Monday.
AD, is this PHB's way of making sure you don't get to lunch? Is this a job that requires your expertise, or is it just busywork?
I agree with Ozzie. You have a prior commitment.

lg, I have a feeling that we both posted our advice too late for AD to see it and take it...

Why would the clubs be ruined? The golf bag, yes. His shoes, yeah. Golf glove, absolutely. But the clubs? Nope. Unless they got bent by the impact they could have been re-gripped. Sounds like a good excuse to have the insurance company buy you a new set of clubs to me! Wonder if he claimed the golf balls too?

Cool, windy, misty, Friday, weekend upcoming...therefore I figure fearless leader will have us pulling 2 short distance/Metro loads today.
