Gotta be a joke in there somewhere. :ymdevil:
It was three bucks in the Trader Joe's in WS the last time I was there. Must be due to sophisticated palates.
Nope. Apparently due to North Cackylacky alkeehol laws. I heard several years ago that NC retailers had to pay extra $ (in this case $1) to the ABC to be able to sell it (or any alkeehol product) in NC. Therefore, three buck chuck in NC. CathyCa may have even commented on it as she used to live in California and lamented the fact it was $2 there and $3 here.
It's all about the tax in NC. Trader Joe's is importing it to its own stores. They own the winery; they own the grocery stores, but if it's shipped in to NC, our state takes a dollar per bottle as a tax.

I think I have commented on this before.

I don't know. I just thought it would neaten up the place a little bit if this post actually went in a thread for which we already had a topic.

I could cut and paste and pad my post count.

Technology also rocks...

I just renewed by vehicle registration in under 3 minutes. Scanned the QR code from the notice I got with the phone...picked the single year option and payment method and boom. Done.

It is mighty cool when it works.

I guess I have a new go-to sweatshirt for basketball.

After the cluster f*** of Wednesday night, I wore my Titanic sweatshirt for the afternoon.

i should probably go take it off and save it for Wednesday night.

Watching GT-Wake is like watching a train wreck. WF just scored the last 5 to make it 39-14. Bz called two timeouts in the first 3 minutes. They haven't quit yet, in fairness to them. :9f:

I had to listen to the game in my car, Bob Harris and Co. on Sirius. How wasteful would it be to listen to all the games in my car as I drive around?

My mom called today. She lives about 5 hours from me, in Chesapeake, VA. She has been having back and hip issues, and today she fell in front of a store and broke her left wrist. Also blackened both eyes, busted her lip, and got three stitches in her head. She is 82 and lives alone, and I think we need to make some decisions pretty soon.

So if you have prayers and vibes and good thoughts you can send in Mom of Lawgrad's direction, I would be most grateful. :sigh: :(

You don't need to drive...the radio doesn't draw a lot of current. just sit in the car and listen.

Not here, yet. Two of the pets are very lethargic after their vet visits yesterday.
