Now how did colchar pick Jamie Mac? Think he'll lead the first lap?

My drivers start 1st, 2nd, 11th, and 12th but I do not expect to finish anywhere near as well as I'm starting.

I just swapped in one of my bench drivers so I now start 1st, 2nd, 6th, and 11th. But again, I do not expect to finish anywhere near as well as I am starting.

About halfway done. Dinger just crashed into JJ. Both are now out of the race.

So far, Jamie Mac, Hamlin, and Gordon have been controlling this race.

Don't look now, but Truex has been making up all kinds of time. He started 33rd, and is now 7th, despite having been the cause of a caution; to be honest, he slowed down while racing behind Biff, who went loose. Then JJ, racing behind Truex, hit Truex.

I've lost one driver but my other three are in the top eight right now. If they finish like that I'll be happy.

Damn you, Truex. Well, at least I gained 2nd place. Still haven't gained on colchar, but then again, at least I am not running into trouble with my jj, JG, and Menard picks. ;) I just have a minor worry with my Blech picks. :ymblushing:

Congrats to colchar on yet another win. Must stop his juggernaut!

The 'dinger did it...well that and Jr. I should no better than to pick Jr.

Speaking of juggernauts, a few weeks ago I recall commenting on getting bored seeing JJ at the front all the time. He's not done well the last couple of races. I'm saving my JJ picks for later in the year.

I am 107 points away from 4th place!
My pick at 'Dega for the win (Harvick: and my first win!) helped my momentum in my less than impressive Spring season.

Dude: For the eleventy billionth time**, you had the 2nd or 4th most points in CTN Nascar that week. You, Tilly, and I have yet to win a single week.

Yeah, one of your drivers winning a race does not equal a 'win'. Having the most points out of all the members in our pool that week counts as a win. One of your drivers could win the race and you could still come in dead last (say, for example, if the rest of your picks crashed and didn't finish). Total points for all your picks each week determines your place that week. I've won four weeks now and I don't think that I had a driver win the race in any of those weeks. I've failed to win our pool in other weeks when I have had a driver win the race. Again, total points each week determines the winner.

FWIW, after this week's race, I have resigned myself to the fact that I will not "win" this season... at least while I am in the States. I leave on May 25, and I am NOWHERE close to winning at all. I am this year's biggest loser.

What's really amazing this year is the turnarounds of Denny Hamlin and JJ. Denny gets surgery, and now seems like he can't lose (except when I pick him). JJ, since the spoiler change, can't buy a win... sort of like me in CTN Fantasy League standings.

Smoke and MM are doing nothing.

And don't look now, but JR is now 12th in the standings.

HOW?! :-o :-o

I had done well in the spring last year but Lavabe passed me the final week to win the spring. I am hoping to avoid that this year. My good fortune thus far can't possibly last but winning at least one part of the contest would be cool.
Looking back, I had like 3 wins last spring, and didn't slip below 93rd percentile. This year, I'm lucky to hold onto 82nd percentile.

To me, this year's difficulty is that we haven't really had a good stable of Group C drivers. Last year, at least we had Marcos Ambrose. At SOME point, someone has to break through.

You're in second and only about 120-130 points behind me. You could easily pass me next week thus winning the spring despite not being in the lead for any but the final week. So long as I can do well enough to keep some points between us I'll win and won't suffer the same fate as last year when I blew my lead in the last couple of weeks.

It's not how you start, it's how you finish. Of course, it would be nice to lead wire to wire.
