Sure hope I'm not the one being ignored. :D ;;)

I, too, have learned that the "ignore" button is my friend. I think you may have introduced me to it. Greatest thing ever.

I had a bit of a stressful day today. When I turned on my cell phone this morning, I had a message from my sister. Turns out that my dad was taken to the ER last night. He had an obstructed bile duct. The doctor removed an 8 mm (!) gall stone this afternoon and, assuming his pancreatitis is better tomorrow, they'll take out his gall bladder. Spent most of the day worried about Dad and having to deal with the world's most inept service engineer. Seriously, we just spent $20K to purchase a piece of equipment from your company. Why in the heck do you insist on sending a service engineer that doesn't know how to operate the equipment? I have a headache, and my jaw is sore from clenching my teeth all day long. I think I need a drink.

On the bright side, I spoke to Dad about an hour ago. He's in good spirits. Mr. Steak and Potatoes was munching ice chips and will not be able to have solid food until after surgery. Of course, I teased him about ice chips being solid food. All in all, I'm fine with a bit of a tension headache as long as Dad is okay.

AD, I hope your dad gets better soon! I hope that his gallbladder surgery goes as well as mine did.

Thanks, all! Dad's blood enzyme levels dropped by half between last night and this morning, so the surgery to remove his gall bladder happened this afternoon. If all continues to go well, he'll be able to go home tomorrow. :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue:

Dad was able to go home today, but he was experiencing some post-surgery pain. My sister took his cowboy hat to him so he wouldn't feel 'nekkid' during the trip home. :))
