In other legal news, I think the judge was having some fun too...IowaDevil wrote:lawgrad91 wrote:Yesterday's defendant told the court that he took "Philippine" as a medication.
You lawyers have all the fun!
The possibilities are limitless! And think of all the times you can forget your password and have them send it to you!CathyCA wrote:Alas, I must purchase the new Crimes book from the UNC School of Government. I'm on the UNC website, and it's asking me to set up a password. This means that if I forget my password, the UNC SOG must send it or a hint to me.
I'm having sooooooooooo much fun putting together this password.
You all can imagine the password possibilities!
Yup. And it gives me great delight that a UNC computer will be generating those messages to me!lawgrad91 wrote:The possibilities are limitless! I also got a three piece dinner with dirty rice and cajun pintos.Miles wrote:Operation: Biscuit Run is now complete.
I just ordered one of everything from the Bojangles breakfast menu, including a six pack of Bo Berry Biscuits. They're in the freezer now. Tomorrow they'll be packed on dry ice and mailed to my brother for his birthday.
I wish I could be there to see his face.

If I were afflicted by spinal meningitis, I'd wish to call it smilin' mighty Jesus, too! Or maybe, spell it Geezus.devildeac wrote:You forget the smiling mighty Jesus (aka spinal meningitis)CathyCA wrote:Felodipine, maybe? (I'm not a doctor, but I do have to figure this stuff out from time to time.) When my brother was in medical school, they had a specific class which dealt with country medicine and names that people out here in the sticks call their ailments and maladies. They also took a field trip to a farm so that they could see how people got injured in certain pieces of equipment.
Here are some examples of country medical terms:
Hard attack = heart attack
Athletic seizure = epileptic seizure
Cadillacs = cataracts
Oldtimers Disease = Alzheimer's
Chicken pops = chicken pox (Hey, even I called them "chicken pops" when I had them.)
Roaches on the liver = cirrhosis of the liver
Prostrate cancer = prostate cancer
Fireballs of the Eucharist = uterine fibroids
Sick as hell anemia = sickle cell anemia
The sugar = diabetes
.
Well done!!!!!Miles wrote:I also got a three piece dinner with dirty rice and cajun pintos.Miles wrote:Operation: Biscuit Run is now complete.

Kudos to you and Kelly for the Biscuit Run! There should be more folks like you in the world! Now to Bojangles - had to look that up and see what it is....I'm in Iowa and we're a bit shy on some of these places! I am positive your brother is going to love his BD gift! Great idea!Miles wrote:Operation: Biscuit Run is now complete.
