Well, we won in them but I didn't care for them. Of course, I'm an old fogey :)) Capel said (post game radio show) that the players like them. I thought I was watching Georgetown. :p

The gray uniforms made the players look all washed out, and even more pasty. Couldnt read the names or numbers on the back of the jerseys. I thought I was watching Georgetown play, also. I did like the Warmups, tho!

Shouldn't this discussion of the gray uni's be over in the SNARK thread? ;)

The lettering and numbers should have been done up in blue, at least. :ymsigh:

Curious about something. In 1988 we were invited to a "Welcome to Duke Law" party and introduced to a wine called University Select, with the University Shield (23, I think) on the label.

Is that still available, and how did that fit into the "no references to alcohol..." should be used with the logos? :duke:

Did the label actually reference alcohol? Or was it simply slapped on a bottle of alcohol? :D

I'm not sure when these regulations were adopted. They may have been adopted post-1988.

It's interesting to note that there is very little use of the color black on that page. ;)

The Shield was the design on the label. The party was sponsored by the Law School, and held in the Bryan Center. There was a white wine and a red wine, though I can't remember specifics. I remember whatever I had didn't taste all that great.

I remember from an article in THE CHRONICLE that we were the only university in the Triangle that didn't shill for dog food, and the Kroger on Hillsborough sold both unc ( :9f: ) and NC State branded dog food.

Isn't "Carolina Ugly" redundant? I mean I was just thinking, to save time and all ;)
It would be simply "Carolina".
For instance, "That person was beyond fugly, they were Carolina".
Or, "Did you see that lady with the beautiful body? Great body, Carolina Face"! lol
Maybe even, "Don't Hate, Don't be mean, Dont be Carolina".

Carolina is not hte same as ugly. There are degrees of ugly. The ugly that lives 10 rings of hell beyond "so ugly that I can't look without gagging" is Carolina Ugly.
All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost.
