Is today over yet? Going back to work after a week off sucks.

Re: LTE 2.0
I was at a wake tonight. It was kind of an OK event. Saw a lot of people I hadn't seen for quite awhile. We all agreed it was great to see each other even though we wished we didn't have a reason to get together.

My little box to the side might say that I don't know what PWing is, but trust me, I do.

Wow, I missed a lot last night.
Ymo, welcome aboard. As devildeac noted, we don't need no stinkin' rules. ;) Oh, I posted "Our House" with altered lyrics somewhere here. GMTA
DukePA, I'll kick shins or anything else you need me to kick. Bastard!
Bostondevil, will be sending major vibes your way on Monday. Sorry for the loss of your friend.
Sue71, how did work go yesterday? Did you write that chick up?
bjornolf, I watch HIMYM, don't know the punch line, and to be honest am a little nervous about learning it. If Lilly was offended, not sure if I could stomach. Did you know both actresses are/were pregnant. Lilly had her baby last month, and Robin will have hers soon.
That's all my little brain can hold this a.m.

I'll tell you what. I don't want to post the punchline here for fear of breaking some kind of record for time before banning. I'll post a link that takes you to a site with an article about that episode of HIMYM, and IT tells you the punchline. It also talks about Lilly and Robin (the actresses who pay them) being pregnant. The whole episode, my wife and I were wondering about Robin's outfits. The shot where they show her in profile at the end, which they have a photo of on this website, made us both say "I bet she's pregnant".

There's the punchline. Click if you dare.

I have arrived. I was wondering where all the cool kids were hanging out....
My wife has an impeccable eye for knowing when someone is pregnant. Very early in the show she says "Are they doing a really terrible job trying to hide the fact that Cobie is pregnant?"
I expected the punchline to that joke to be extremely and specifically derogatory toward women.... only to learn after checking with Mr. Google that it was just plain foul all around.

Welcome to the secret Duke speakeasy, fellow father of a cute Katie. When's her birthday, by the way? Mine turned 1 on April 3rd.DukeUsul wrote:I have arrived. I was wondering where all the cool kids were hanging out....

OK, I braved the punchline. Two thoughts, 1) it's not very funny and 2) gross boy humor yeah, but not that gross, I've heard far worse.

Completely changing the subject to some exciting news, I posted somewhere that I mailed Coach K a copy of my play (the Duke-Carolina one). I got an email from him today telling me he thought the play was great and that he loved the ending. How cool is that?

Re: LTE 2.0
April 26th. We have a house full of friends for my 10 year reunion this weekend. We'll have four kids under three years in the house for the weekend. Then next weekend all of the grandparents and an aunt and uncle are staying with us for Katie's birthday. It is going to be madness at my house for the next two weeks.bjornolf wrote:Welcome to the secret Duke speakeasy, fellow father of a cute Katie. When's her birthday, by the way?
