Just halfdays this week, then fulltime for both of us next week. :-s :(( :ymtongue:
I remember my first day back at work like it was yesterday. I went in a day ahead of time and instructed EVERYONE not to mention the baby to me. That worked like a charm. I was so afraid that if anyone mentioned the baby to me, I might have "a moment," if you know what I mean.

I hope that Baby DA has a great first day at day care. Take pictures!

Yes, you should. I sense some surprise coming. Something good for you. Just a good feeling I have.
I'm not so sure. I'm still persona non grata as far as I can tell. Boss sends me assignments via e-mail, and I'm not included in meetings with other laboratory personnel when work assignments are being discussed. I'm stuck with work that no one else wants to do, and I'm kept completely in the dark as much as possible.

Now, as far job interviews, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let your good feeling be related to that!!!!

All the more reason you should go and get your "free lunch". And you'll get to hear some scuttlebutt discussed. If you're not there, it'll be about you... ;)

Go. More importantly, put this on either the WWWD thread or the dilemma thread (or both). You could get three posts out of it! :ymblushing:

Seriously, go.

There is a small child across the hall, waiting for court. She has some sort of noisemaker that has played "Deck the Hall with Boughs of Holly" for the last 30 minutes. :-o

Go ahead and deck her. You can just claim you thought her name was Holly.

Or, you could eviscerate her and claim you thought the lyrics were "deck the hall with bowels of holly," :D

Maybe Misdemeanor Prosecutor knew this already when he decided to stay home after lunch today?

Thanks, DinK, AD, Cathy, & LG. It went better than I feared - both FutureDA and I managed through with few tears (beyond her normal, "I'm tired" crying, that is.) It helped that I had a bunch of housekeeping details to take care of at work this morning, was too busy to think about missing her. Plus, I know myself well enough to know that I'll be a better mommy if I go back to work.

The harder part is going to be getting Mr. DA to realize that I'm now working fulltime as well, and he needs to step up now that the maid/laundress/cook/nanny is no longer home all day. Any tips? ;)

You could remind him that there is another "roll" that he might like for you to take part in on occasion, and that his help would put you in the mood more often ;) ;) ;)

Traffic issues today in Wake and RDU area today, with Prez Obama making his way to Apex and NcState. Be aware of detours and delays.

Also, the TSA is going to relax the PAT DOWN on kids. Some of the Pat Downs, I have seen on TV and you tube are very very extensive. Frequent Flyers are going to get more consideration also, with the release of more of their Personal information.

DA already said that she won't be home to do all the cooking.

I'm afraid I can't help you there. We all know what happened to my marriage after having children. . .

I think that Ozzie has a pretty good idea of how to persuade Mr. DA. I hope that tactic works for you.

I am listening to The Obama Talk/speech at NcState.

I haven't read the Jobs Act Bill, but alot of what Obama says, is very needed. Teachers needs to go back to the classroom, and Workers in America need jobs. i also believe Middle Class needs tax breaks, as due small business owners.

And in the JObs Acts Bill, an incensive for Business to hire the unemployed and get a Tax Credit!!!

He did end the speech, With, God Bless North Carolina and God Bless America. (amazed!)
