I didn't get there until the middle of the first because I had a meeting right after church. Sounds as if he wasn't appreciated, though I happen to generally agree with his sentiments.Lavabe wrote:And Carlos Santana showed up too. Due to budget cuts, the spaceman smiley program has been discontinued for the foreseeable future.CathyCA wrote:My brother and nephew are at KSC for the launch this morning.CameronBornAndBred wrote:Ahh..I found out this is Endeavor's last launch, but not the last for the fleet. Streamed NASA TV on the laptop and watched the fireball and contrail rise over the horizon from my office window...gotta love it.
Safe travels Endeavor...we're gonna miss you.

Hopefully it'll return safely and you'll be able to visit it in whichever museum it gets placed in (they've been announced recently), or in Earljam's backyard, wherever it actually ends up. It did look like it lost a few ceramic tiles from its belly during lift off, hopefully none too critical.windsor wrote:CathyCA wrote:Whew! Liftoff and separation.

I think they are multicolored, some are darker so they look like they are missing. I've noticed that on previous launches.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Hopefully it'll return safely and you'll be able to visit it in whichever museum it gets placed in (they've been announced recently), or in Earljam's backyard, wherever it actually ends up. I just completed Phase I of my latest Bedroom Reclamation Project.
I found $62.
Oh, the joys of abject slobbery and semi-annual cleanups.

We could have driving home as fast as we're getting there. Our plane was late leaving Panama City, missed our 4:20 flight in Atlanta, couldn't get on the next flight. We're supposed to fly out at 8:45 pm. Lets hope.
