Zumba is a riot. I spend most of my classes laughing at myself. Congrats on your fresh breath, good health and overall strength of character. Keep going!

That's actually why I like Zumba - you can be a total goof and it is ok. I stumbled onto Zumba because once I could breath I wanted to take a dance class (I was a dancer 'back in the day' - lots of years and pounds ago) I couldn't find anything that was either a) I'm six years old and I want to be a flower in the recital b) I'm 17 and auditioning for the New York City Ballet or c) I'm 80 and need to hold on to a chair.

The classes I take are a the local rec center (cheap!) taught by a woman who is 40 something who has lost over 100 lbs. She went for a consult for gastric bypass and she had an epiphany - if she just did the stuff she would have to do after the surgey (eat lots of small meals low in fat and get moderate excercise every day) she wouldn't need the stupid surgery. Four years later she's teaching Zumba and Pump is as fit as can be. :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

I'm now talking on the double whammy of not smoking and trying to drop a few pounds before the wedding in November.

Good for you! Now if only I could do the same... (drop a few pounds - I don't smoke, and I'm not going to a wedding in November that I know of.)
