The Bumble Bees stung your Tarhole Azz last night. I watched the game, from tip to finish (flipping channels, watching Golden Globe Awards, and Desperate Housewives, also). Bumble Bees controlled the entire game. Larry Drew II plays unbelievable in front of his Father and friends n tow!!! (Ole Roy keep playing LD2).
LD2 is the best unc-ch point guard Duke has ever had :D

And lolz at HB and his awful shooting percentages. Anyone think that had he chosen to come to Duke he would still be struggling this much offensively? Coach K would set screens and run isolation plays for him to free him up - 'Ol Roy apparently doesn't know how to set a screen for a wing. Of course at Duke his pitiful defensive efforts would have him on the bench....

'Ol Roy hates unc-ch fans. Here are some excerpts from his call-in show: http://northcarolina.scout.com/2/1040413.html

Some highlights:
It doesn’t appear that we have any players that can guard explosive shooters. What are your thoughts on double-teaming a player like Clemson guard Demontez Stitt or running a triangle-and-two to defend that type of shooter? It’s painful watching those guys hit wide open 3-pointers.
“You think it’s painful for you? What the [heck] do you think about our staff?...

Is there anything that’s frustrating for you about coaching this year’s team?
“How we play. There’s no question about that. It’s frustrating to me when you don’t invest enough
....
"And in today’s culture, it’s hard. I’ve got half of the guys on my team that their mom and dad and their friends and everything think that they’re going to make $88 million. They could give a flip whether we win a game or not. They want their guy to get 37 shots and play 50 minutes in a 40-minute game. The culture is hard on kids nowadays, and I understand that, but it makes coaching harder…

"It’s something that I’ve told many teams – if you cared one-tenth about it as much as I do, [gosh] it would be a lot of fun.”

I love that "they could give a flip..." line. I hope they continue that for the next 20 games or so. :D

Starting tonight. :ymdevil:

Wasnt Traci Lords, the young porn star (70s or 80s), that did porn, and wasnt even 18 years old. I think she later was on the drama sitcom, Melrose Place. I didnt know who she was. I remember my Hairdresser telling me, since we both watched Melrose Place, Knots Landing, etc In those days.

YOU guys are making that up! maybe not....

Clemson just wanted the loss more last night. I find it amusing that Marshall started - as the tar hole nation has been clamoring for, but DrewII still logged more minutes.

If Climpsun could shoot worth a damn, they'd have had a good shot to win. Their shot selection also leaves something to be desired...part of this is revealed in the free throw discrepancy (25 for the heels, 10 for Climpsun). I think it was due not so much to home cooking as to the fact that Climpsun seems to have little idea how to attack a defense and get high-percentage looks. Lots of easy-way-out jumpshooting, resulting in clanged misses.
Much like the heels' game here in Atlanta on Sunday night, last night's contest looked mostly like one between two mediocre squads to me.

It's always gonna be hard to play 'Run n' Gun' when your gun has no ammo.

Carolina's next six games could break (or make) their season:

@ Miami
NCSU
@ Boston College
Florida State
@ Duke
@ Clemson

I can make a case for them losing all six of those games and if that happens (highly unlikely) it will be lights out for the Tar Heels. I've watched a lot of Carolina games and this is a team that suffers with its confidence so a loss or two can trigger an avalanche and four of the six games are on the road.

* Miami's strong backcourt will manhandle the Heels.
* This one is a toss up but with State at home I like Wolfpack's chances.
* Boston College is an offensive juggernaut and Carolina plays lousy defense. Reggie Jackson and Joe Trapani are salivating like Pavlov's Dogs.
* Florida State will ugly its way to a victory.
* Duke will be playing with high emotions after the 82-50 pasting last year in Cameron. I'm not predicting another 32 point victory but 12-15 points is good enough for me.
* Clemson will not shoot as bad as they did in the Nose Dome.

I think 2-4 over the next six games is a realistic prediction for the Tar Heels. Then they play Wake Forest at home (a W) before finishing the season with five more games they are capable of losing:

Boston College
@ NCSU
Maryland
@ FSU
Duke

If they go 2-3 in those five games, they would finish the season at 18-12. Is that good enough? I ended up being long winded here but I believe Carolina is a young team with confidence and consistency issues and I will not be surprised see them falter down the stretch. A loss or two could start the snowball rolling downhill.

CAVEAT:

While I'm predicting Carolina will lose 7 more games this season, Ken Pomeroy predicts they will lose 4 more times. I know this will shock everyone, but Pomeroy has a better track record than I do. =))

unc will beat NCSU at the dump. State will play most of the game with their hands around their throats, Sid can't coach and unc will shoot about 20 more FT than the Pack. Most of the rest of your analysis makes a whole lotta sense. I'd love to see their season go down the toilet with a 1-5 run over the next 3 weeks.

Followed by an embarrassing loss to Wake at the nose dome
