We don't have a spaceman smiley either.
I know. I want a cute little spaceman smiley. ;)

:9f:
Well, technically, depending on how you define spaceman, one or a combination of these three could suffice as a spaceman smiley:

Not a smiley but perhaps this will do:

I've never heard of those dudes or that song before, but that is delightfully weird.

That's what one gets for "growing up" in the late 60s and early 70s.

I also sent our children this link as they have seen/heard this particular modern group a couple times and had no idea how/where/why their name originated.

Since I might be moving sometime soon, I have begun in earnest to check items off my St. Louis Bucket List. For today, I went antique shopping in the Cherokee Street Antique District. I saw several pieces that I really wanted to buy - some affordable, some not. I really need to go back sometime when it's not raining and I have some $$ to spend.

Once it started raining, I took a quick trip to Ted Drewes (see the appropriate thread) and then went back to the Missouri History Museum to go through the St. Louis history exhibits. Quite fascinating. Remided me of a few historical sites around the city that I'd like to visit. I also think I need to take a brewery tour.

Our firm won the lottery.

We got the following letter last week from our District Bar President:
The North Carolina State Bar Council has decided that two districts will be randomly chosen each quarter from which attorneys will be selected for audit. From those two districts, approximately sixty lawyers will be randomly selected with the number from each district being proportional in regard to the relative sizes of the lawyer populations in the districts chosen.
Attached to the letter was the following certificate:
I hereby certify that on April 12, 2011 the 3A Judicial District and 16A Judicial District were randomly selected by computer pursuant to procedures adopted by the Council of the North Carolina State Bar as the judicial districts from which lawyers are to be randomly selected for audit during the second quarter of 2011 pursuant to Rule .012(b) of the Rules of Discipline and Disbarment.

I further certify that on April 15, 2011 all active lawyers from the selected districts were randomly listed by computer in accordance with the aforesaid procedures and are susceptible to audit in the order listed during the second quarter of 2011.
Guess whose number came up today? :ymdevil:

I've heard about these audits for 24 years, and now it's our turn! We're not worried, but the auditor will be here on the same day that my brief is due in an arbitration. I guess I'd better crank out that brief a few days earlier than I had planned so that I'm available for the audit.

Did another P90X workout today. So far, I've lost 10 pounds and one pant size in a week.

We leave Thursday morning for White Bear Lake Minnesota . Our grand daughter, Donna L., senior art show is on the 6th, she graduates on the 7th, and there is a baby shower for her and Tye on the 8th. Bless her heart. She is our only grand daughter and the oldest grandchild. We are so happy for her and very proud. :ymhug: :ymhug:

Don't watch Glee, and wouldn't watch a Fleetwood Muck-themed episode if there were a gun at my head.

I don't like F-M, but I watch Glee. Here's what I learned about F-M:
1) Without Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham and Christie McVie, the songs still suck.
2) Lindsay Buckingham's best performance is when he appears on SNL's WHAT UP WITH THAT.
3) If Glee is going to continue its theme of 70's mega-albums that dominated the charts for half a decade, I expect a Glee episode devoted to FRAMPTON COMES ALIVE, complete with talk box.
4) Or maybe a Glee episode devoted to Boston.
5) Christine Chenoweth... GREAT voice wasted on F-M.
6) Still waiting for Glee to do an episode about FIGHT CLUB. ;)
