Yay, you!!! If you don't like the commute, remind yourself about all the things you love about your new place.Sue71 wrote:Thanks, guys! I <3 my new place. Really. It's QUIET. Very different from where I was.
And there's spaaaaaaaaaaaaaace. Seems like so much more but it's only about 100 sq ft bigger than the old one. The closets are insanely huge. Seriously. And I had great closets in the old place. These are enormous. I could make an office out of one of them, it's that big.
The bathrooms are bigger too, with nice big hourglass shape tubs (no jets, don't get excited). But it's nice to wash my hair without bumping my elbow into the shower wall.
My new place looks out onto a pretty courtyard. I like that.
There's SO much I can walk to... Pasadena Playhouse, Carvel (hey, I'm an East Coast girl), all kinds of shopping & restaurants on Lake Ave and in Old Town, bookstores galore... me be a happy girl.
Just need to see how the commute is over the next few days to see if I have any regrets.
Some of the local grocery stores stock Carvel cakes.CameronBornAndBred wrote:I haven't had Carvel ice cream since visiting my grandmother in Forest Hills as a kid. They used to have Carvel commercials on TV in Durham, but no store.
I believe that's what she said! I loved Carvel ice cream cakes - it was the icing that made them special! Ymm!YmoBeThere wrote:Posted when I wemt to bed, now posting when I get up.

We're back from the Ocean City NJ boardwalk. Merry-go-round, monorail, cheesesteaks, funnel cake, frozen custard. I'm ready for bed but the babe is still up.
