Well, that resumed service occurred two days ago, and I still haven't received anything. Calls to the UPS customer service department haven't revealed much. I'm getting steamed. :-w ~X( :Boo: X( :dwarf: :ymsigh:
Can you pick them up from a regional delivery point instead? There's probably at least 3 in the Atlanta area. If you have the tracking #'s, they can hold them there for you.

I've asked this. They tell me they can't hold them for me until the driver makes an attempt to deliver them. So, the reason I can't drive across town and just do their job for them is because they still haven't yet even tried to do their job. The repeating loop of non-answers from UPS customer service continues. I am officially irritated now.

The county email didn't work at all yesterday. Today it appears to be working more or less as it should.

Funny email today is in the Yahoo spam box: "Certified Nursing Ass."

This is getting ridiculous. Just before we got to Boone (about 9:00 pm), my mom called to tell me that her car got hit from the side in a parking lot tonight by a woman driving a van who was backing up. Arrgghhh! My daughter twice and now my mom, all within 3 weeks. Well, at least that's 3 and it completes the trilogy.

All this stuff going on in parking lots!!!!
I have noticed that line painting in lots have lately seemed to be smaller. Maybe it's because I daily-drive an F150 pickup.

Sorry about this, Ozzie. Hopefully you have exercised your parking lot demons for a while. Glad no one was hurt.

Today the county email spam server is blocking itself.

I think the new guy is in over his head. He's trying to make the existing system work because there's no money to tear it all down and start over and put all the county services (PSA, Sheriff's Office, courthouse, county administration, schools, Social Services) on the same, working system.

Three of my four packages finally came! The last, I have told them I will just go pick up. It was the first to arrive in Atlanta, so it has been sitting 10 miles from my house for 2 weeks now. I still never really got a suitable explanation as to what the hell was going on, but at least I have my stuff now. :happy-bouncyblue:

Glad you finally got your packages.

I doubt there is a suitable explanation as to what was going on. Somebody probably had to have their cranium removed from their rectum, or needs to have it done.
