PHB is in court this morning, and I go in front of the same judge this afternoon. Being a "glass half-full" kind of person, I think that means I have carte blanche in court because after the judge had to put up with 3+ hours of PHB (plus however long he manages to extend the docket by pontificating), he will be so worn out that anything I do that speeds the docket along will be fine. My coworker Wayne, the "glass half-empty" sort, believes that following PHB to court means that the next person is likely to get found in contempt.

Maybe, except I think deep down my PHB is a good guy. Every once in a while good elements rear their lovely heads. Yours, I'm not so sure....

BTW, PHB couldn't work the video machine AGAIN. It took me 45 seconds to get it working when he finally called to ask for help, but by then the case was already 20 minutes late starting. I hope the judge has time for lunch before afternoon court.
