WOOOOO, I learned to make gumbo today. My cousin, who lives in Texas, very close to Louisianan, is here for a couple of days, taught me how. The roux is the secret. I MADE the ROUX!!!! I did most of the prep. The last time she made it for us was done at DukePA's house. She did most of the work. No way was I going to let her do all that here. I made 15 quarts!!! Shrimp, chicken, sausages, celery and onions. OMG!!!! I'm happy.

Maybe that painting will lead to more commissions in CA, and you'll be able to go out there on a business trip soon!

Yup. You froze Firefox on my computer. Had to use the task manager to shut it down. Yet when Firefox was restarted it opened to that post with no problem whatsoever, other than temporarily blinding me.
