Had lunch with DD today along with a side of beer trading. I'm sooooo stuffed.

I went to the Brooks Brothers outlet in Garland, North Carolina today. I got a pair of purple suede shoes for $29.00. Those shoes retail for $198.00.

I am blissfully happy.

I had never been to Garland before today. It's in Sampson County at the intersection of 411 and 701.

My feet are doing a happy dance!

I didn't have one of my usual pantry staples, Williams Chili Seasoning, so I googled a recipe for chili powder and made do with stuff I already have in the pantry: cayenne pepper, paprika, cumin, oregano, and garlic powder. I also added a dash of sage; a tip I picked up from one of my aunts. It adds an interesting flavor. Will have to sample after it cooks a bit longer to see if I need to add more of anything.
Yummy! I love sage.

We just got back from the haunted hayride in Walkertown. We were nattily attired in matching Duke sweatshirts (B's blue with white trim, mine black with blue trim) and several of the ghouls along the way informed us that they liked our sweatshirts. Now those are some smart ghouls!

Now for a celebratory glass of red wine. Abandon ship!

I made 4 predictions for today and I went 4 for 4!
1. Duke would defend Navy's option running offense well.
2. Renfree was due for a good game.
3. Josh Hamilton would hit a dinger today.
4. Texas would win today's WS game. I've also predicted today Texas wins in 7, in case you're interested...

Do you have any lottery numbers you'd care to share with the rest of us? Besides 9F, of course.

Blue suede shoes would have been splendid!

But I like my purple ones a lot.

Don't know where he came from.
I hated to leave 21 so abruptly yesterday, but 'she who must be obeyed' had to swipe away the laptop to check in on an auction item and I was too tied up in watching to go get it back. :violence-captureflagblue: :techie-ebay:

As a result of yesterday's predictions, are you now in another tax bracket?
Please PM me with your predictions on next week's NASCAR race. :D

Posting here has slowed down a bit. Is LTE 2.0 getting "long in the tooth"?

I won $20 on a quick pick - matched the powerball number plus one white ball, and the power play multiplier was 5! That pays for next week's plays! Better than nothing. :D

Wow. Crowded in here tonight. Why aren't y'all standing at your front door handing out poison apples to the little monsters who ring your door bell?

That's the beauty of living in a secure building. No trick-or-treaters. :D I had to deal with too many rude kids when I lived in my house, so I don't really miss trick-or-treaters.
