Yes, his first. He caught a pass in the in zone. He plays tight end.

A good baseball season followed up with good performance in football... :happy-bouncyblue: !

Basketball is right around the corner. A good tight end is needed. :ymapplause:

Speaking of our house (the name of our forum), we're building a new one. Check out these two pix. This is one month minus a day, Sept 9th to Oct. 8th. There are other pix at http://www.flickr.com/photos/bjornolf, but I was very impressed with what they did in a month.

Just curious, if anyone had read a book say in high school or college that you said to yourself at the time, "I just don't get this." Then re-read it years later and said, "Oh, I get it now!"

There are a couple that I'd like to re-read now, to see if that's what I say -- "On the Road" and "A separate peace." Maybe "Catcher in the Rye" too.

Lisa's out all day at a work retreat. So we had daddy daughter day. Started with breakfast at Elmo's Diner. I offered to take Katie to Mad Hatter's Bakery, but she insisted on Elmo's.

Then we made our way to the Gardens. Wandered around for a bit. Then made our way up to main west and walked by the Chapel. I wanted to take her in, but there was a wedding. Wandered behind the Div school and back around the library. Let me tell you, 12 years ago on one of those drunk nights wandering around campus, I never thought that one day I'd be changing a poopie diaper on the grass on the quad outside the library.

We picked up some Chick-fil-A and made it over to the airport observation deck to watch planes take off for an hour. Katie loved it! The weather today was perfect. We're now both exhausted.

My hand is about to fall off. I'm staining my deck today. I'm about 2/3 of the way through the project. It's going to look beautiful, and I'm going to like it, but right now I'm hating it.

Yes, but the paint store guys tell me, and I know from staining my deck in California that the best way to get complete coverage is to work the stain in with the brush bristles.

The prior owners seriously neglected my house. I'm trying to protect it.

You will waste less using a brush.
Something to remember when painting, too. ;)

Home from Charlotte. B's schedule made it impossible for me to see any of the games that I would have ordinarily watched. :(

There's no place like home. Speaking of which, Bjornolf, thanks for posting the house pictures. Keep on posting your progress!
