Constantly licking and nibbling at her paws.TillyGalore wrote:Why is Georgia the Wonderdog wearing the "cone of shame"?Lavabe wrote:Georgia the Wonderdog is now wearing the "Cone of Shame."
When I was a teenager we had a dog who licked a spot on one of his paws raw. The vet said it was a neurosis.Lavabe wrote:Constantly licking and nibbling at her paws.TillyGalore wrote:Why is Georgia the Wonderdog wearing the "cone of shame"?Lavabe wrote:Georgia the Wonderdog is now wearing the "Cone of Shame."

Would aversion therapy work? Put something really nasty tasting, to Georgia the Wonder Dog, on her paws until she learns not to lick them. I'm not sure what tastes nasty to a dog, however.Lavabe wrote:The vet did offer one suggestion that bothered me...TillyGalore wrote:When I was a teenager we had a dog who licked a spot on one of his paws raw. I remember having a product once that kept my dog from biting a spot on his back. If I remember, it had sulfur in it, or at least it smelled sulfurous.DukieInKansas wrote:Would aversion therapy work? That can be a sign of allergic sensitivities. (My bulldog has lots of issues like that, joy of the breed.) Hope Georgia's aren't too bad!
