On a happier note, I discovered that if I put my calendar on IGoogle, it would automatically link with my Droid. No more having to input on the phone keyboard (or the iTouch keyboard, which is what I was doing), I can type into the computer and POOF! it's on my phone. :happy-bouncyblue:

I celebrated by importing the basketball schedule.

If you use an Outlook calendar as well, you can also use Google's Calendar Sync to sync your Outlook calendar to Google Calendar and have it available on your Droid.

ArkieDukie wrote:Just got an e-mail that really annoyed me. We have this lab that submits samples that are not the type we normally analyze, and I'm the person that runs them. The instrument that I use for analyzing their samples has been in use, getting data for the big grant. And I have to take some things apart in order to run their samples. The person that dropped off the sample (with attitude - wouldn't fill out the requisite paperwork, gave us a 2-day deadline for running the sample) e-mailed earlier this week, asking when I'd be able to run his sample. I told him it would be sometime in the next few days. Today another person in the lab sent an e-mail to my boss, asking that he check on the status of their sample. Nothing ticks me off more than people going above my head when they don't like the answer they got. Basically, they were trying to get me in trouble. What was I supposed to do, stop writing to run their samples? They don't seem to get the fact that their samples are an inconvenience, and dropping them off and saying that they need the results within a couple of days is not exactly the way to win friends and influence people. Especially when we're in the middle of getting data for and writing a multimillion dollar grant. X(

The other kicker? They're requesting that I run their sample in a way for which we're not set up. We've told them this, numerous times. What the heck do we have to do, take out a frakkin' billboard? X(
More shin kicks! I hate it when people do that. Our police officers are forever getting advice from us that they don't want to hear (like, we won't charge until you talk to the victim, or the defendant, or until the DNA comes back, etc.) so they go to the boss.
Sending shin kicks to the police officers for you!

Instead of a 2 hour delay, the Pitt County Schools are now closed.

Outlook would make too much sense for the county. We have some God-awful program called Groupwise. It would be more convenient and user-friendly to send messages by smoke signal than Groupwise Mail, and don't get me started o the calendar! X(

It's been pouring here all day. I just saw a car that stalled in the street (dumbass driver) and now has water up to it's windows.

12.5 inches so far, but it's coming down in buckets right now, so I imagine we'll have more.

They've closed several roads due to flooding.

My back yard is a lake. The yard outside my office window looks like a river.

That's a helluva lotta rain. WRAL said 21 inches have fallen at carolina Beach, more than the 19 inches that fell in the 5 days of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Floyd.

Well, yes, people here are having Floyd Flashbacks.

I wasn't here for Floyd, but it's all I'm hearing from everyone.

Hope Barbour Honda's back lot has heavy flood problems. That would serve them right for not giving me prior notice before my arrival with their merchandise one day last week. Unforgivable. :Boo:
Sorry on your account, however.
Drain and perk soon.

She took her two front paws, put them over her ears, then pulled down.

Popped right off. All that fluffy fur.
