At the Panther Creek Football game, filming Native as he challenges the Catamount Chaos to a fever pitch doing his patented roller coaster cheer. I swear, they are giving the Crazies a run for their money! Hell be a natural in Cameron next year......I hope!

A quick moment of silence for those who gave their lives, the loved ones who still miss them, and the men and women working hard to make sure it never happens again.

I'm thinking of my friend Rob Lenoir this morning.

The History Channel has been running specials on September 11, 2001. It has been interesting watching and learning things from that day that I didn't know - or at least didn't remember. They have even covered the conspiracy theories. It brings back the feelings I had when I watched the first tower fall on tv.

My prayers and thoughts are with the families and friends of those that lost their lives that day and since. God bless all those working to keep us safe.

Is it possible to 'hate' a day? If so, I hate today for the annual reminder of the horrible anguish of not knowing for 10 hours, if my dad had made it out of the Pentagon. The plane hit on his side of the building - 100 yards further north and it would have gone through his office.

Part of the reason I didn't hear from him, is he stayed on site to help organize the medical care/triage/evacuations. He doesn't talk about it, but someone else did: http://www.history.navy.mil/faqs/faq87-7b.htm

Watching one of the programs on the History Channel, they had video of Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld out helping with the wounded. I hadn't realized he did that. If I recall his comments correctly, at the time he focused on the people there that needed help. When Acting Jt Chiefs of Staff Myers arrived, he made someone go get Rumsfeld and bring him inside.

DA - I'm glad your Dad was ok. I can't even imagine what you went through that day - and what he did.

DA, I'm glad your dad survived. I hope you never have another day as horrible as that one.
