We tell them how to rule. Sometimes they listen to us, sometimes they don't.
True, so true. The clerks and the judge's secretaries REALLY rule, though. If you want to know something in the law, know how to do something in the law, or want something set, go to the clerks and the judge's secretaries.

BTW, our judge's secretary may be visiting our beautiful campus a few times this fall. Her best friend bought season tickets to take her son to the Alabama game, and she said she and her friend would be down for some of the other games, too. She is a VT fan first, but a Duke fan second.
True, so true.

And you must do nice things for them from time to time, like stand out in the rain and campaign for the Clerk of Court, or entertain the entire Clerk's office when you throw a baby shower for your paralegal.

Trust me, they remember the acts of kindness shown to them.

That kind of ass-kissing is the only way to survive in law practice. Try getting info from a Clerk you have pissed off. :ymtongue:

Regular or light mayo?

:)) =))
Regular mayo (Hellman's or Duke's), Hebrew National dog, nonseeded bun, ketchup/catsup, cheese; with large Steak 'n'Shake sized vanilla shake. Oh hell, add in an order of fries too, dipped in whatever oil used at ye old Steak 'n'Shake.

How many Zocors? ;)

Shameless plug - my niece Michelle will be on David Letterman tonight.

The maximum daily dose is 80 mg. I'd take that amount. Probably for the next 30 days.

She did great! Beautiful, smart, funny, engaging, very at ease handling Letterman.

Is she coming to Brunchgate with you?
