Go stand in your garden again with the Miracle Gro sprayer...

About 80 and partly cloudy at the NC coast. Perfect for a lunch meeting in J'ville with a guy wearing a funny hat to do some serious beer business ;)

I couldn't find my funny hat. The weather looked like rain on the way home, and now it is sunny once again. My garden is feeling rejected.

A little Hobgoblin was camped out at our spot in VA last night...all by his lonesome with a child's pup tent. He did have a fairly new Dodge truck that he could seek adequate shelter inside of. I can't worry about him. I've got beer to watch and Lacrosse to drink.

When the roads are covered with ice or a foot of snow and it's 7 above zero, that's not too beautiful if you're headed out to the store/work.

I'll never forget the time I left San Diego for Kansas City. I was headed to my brother's for Christmas. It was in the 70's when I left, and about 10 below when I landed. Talk about contrast.

Temp, around 80 today. No rain. After last night, we're ok for several days.

Florida is in the 'summer pattern' highs in the low 90s (it's never gotten over 100 in the Tampa/St Pete/Clearwater area) high humidity, 50% chance of thunderstorms. The weather folks could give that as the forecast in mid-May, say 'until further notice' and not show up again until mid-Sept unless there is a hurricane brewing. It is nothing if not consistent.
All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost.

We woke up to rain in Banner Elk, and it rained until we got past Greensboro in the early afternoon. Not a drop since.
But thanks to all the rain we had last week and Friday night while we were gone, our grass is nice and green!

Efland, our house, had a quick shower today, enough to wet the deck.

We had an awesome storm last night. Something nearby, maybe on the block or the next one over, was hit by lightning around 4:00 AM. It scared the bejeebus out of me and Ms Crosby.

If you live east of Winston-Salem, take cover. We are having a killer storm here. The back patio is covered with water, and we've had spectacular lightning and lots of thunder. The dogs are so scared they didn't even beg for bites off our supper.

Yeah. I don't blame you for sending it directly over my house, though. We didn't get the wind WXII was talking about. That must have been more to the south of me. Our power bliped out for just long enough to cause reset to the clock on the microwave and a DVD recorder. The lightning has stopped but it's still drizzling rain.
