Good answer, Ozzie! DV is domestic violence, except during basketball season, where the other DV causes people to want to commit domestic violence.
Yes! DingDingDing!

Ozzie, you retain control of the board. Our remaining categories are "County Courtrooms" and "Surgical Suites." Please select an answer.

Yes! I have the exact same feelings and the same inability to explain.

You aren't the only ones who feel that way yet cannot explain why.

Hmmm. Wonder if mine is. I didn't know anything about a Garmin recall.

Neither do I. Details please! Of course mine is registered with them, so I would think they'd email me.

From the email I received from Garmin:

Garmin has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain models of Garmin's nüvi® brand of portable automotive GPS products due to a potential risk of battery overheating. Garmin has identified potential overheating issues when certain batteries manufactured by the third-party battery supplier within a limited date code range are used in certain Garmin nüvi models with a specific printed circuit board (PCB) design. It appears that the interaction of these factors can, in rare circumstances, increase the possibility of overheating, which may lead to a fire hazard.

Ozzie, if you're registered with them, they should have emailed you if your model was subject to recall. It's for nuvi 200W, 250W, and 260W, and the 700 series.

Typing that makes me realize that mine is safe. My nuvi 250W was stolen, and I replaced it with a regular 200. So I hope whoever has mine now, has it catch fire in their car. :ymdevil: :ymdevil: :ymdevil:

Mine is a 765. At the next commercial, I'll go out to car and check the SN on the web site linked above. I previously had a 780. No email for either one of them.

I logged in to the Garmin website and got the serial number for my nuvi 760. Checked my serial number at the website linked above. No recall for me! :happy-bouncyblue: Thanks for the link, Ymo! I wouldn't have known to look otherwise.
