Good morning. Texted with Chris at 10:10 last night and they still had power. He posted on Facebook at 10:35 they lost power. This morning on TV New Bern is getting pounded with rain and serious flooding on the roads. He’s in deep shit. They should have listened to everyone and evacuated. Too late now, Chris we pray for your safety.

Good morning. My thoughts and prayers are with Chris and everyone else along the coast. My nephew is a telephone company worker who was assigned to maintain 911 services during the storm. He evacuated his family but he is "living" at the telephone office, in Jacksonville NC, throughout the storm.

We have had a little wind and rain in Tidewater with emphasis on the word little.

All is good here. We have only had 1 inch of rain. Dawn and Mark, in Kenansville, have had 12 1/2 inches. Their house is not flooded. There is no power in Kenansville.
