Sounds good to me! NOT going with either of your kids is a GOOD thing in the respect that you probably wouldn't want the kids to go to a Lady Gaga concert.ArkieDukie wrote:Shin kicks to ExLax and to BimbHo, who is likely behind the trip to the Lady Gaga concert.CathyCA wrote:According to my kid's FB posting, ExLax is going to the Lady Gaga concert without either of my kids.

Thanks for the vibes everyone!
Yeah I'm liking the hourly wage. And I am not even certain it will only be $30 (actually $29.75/hr) as the salary range for the position is $29.75-$35.95 per hour. Because of that range, the salary might actually be higher than what I posted but I expect that, being a university, they will start the person at the lowest point on the wage scale for the position and then have them move through the scale as they progress in the role with automatic raises every X number of months or whatever. The other good thing is that, although there will be occasional weekend work involved, it is primarily a weekday job and the four days per week are Mon-Thurs which means that I would get Friday off, and thus have a long weekend, every week! While I would prefer a full-time position, as far as part-time positions go this is a pretty good one.
I'm stressed out over the job search because it has become really frustrating, especially being told on a regular basis that I am overqualified. I want this job badly and I hope I can reign in any anxiety or stress for the length of the interview because those are the last things you want an interview panel to detect. Oh well, all I can do is to spend the rest of today and all of tomorrow preparing so that I am as ready as is possible when I walk in there Thursday. Hopefully it will go well.

Oh, it would be okay for my kids to go to the Lady Gaga concert. ExLax knows nothing about her, and none of her songs. He is going to look so ridiculous and out of place at that concert.Lavabe wrote:NOT going with either of your kids is a GOOD thing in the respect that you probably wouldn't want the kids to go to a Lady Gaga concert.ArkieDukie wrote:Shin kicks to ExLax and to BimbHo, who is likely behind the trip to the Lady Gaga concert.CathyCA wrote:According to my kid's FB posting, ExLax is going to the Lady Gaga concert without either of my kids.

If I had ever asked him to go to a Lady Gaga concert, he would have laughed at me and refused to go.
But I'm not bitter or anything. . .

Re: LTE 2.0
I would go to a Lady GaGa show in two seconds. She's flat out fun. And she can sing. And she can play piano. And she doesn't need some producer to make her sound good.
She does need somebody to make her look good though...she's not got a lot in the looks department..so the goofy clothes distract.
But if I were blind...I'd have no complaints.

I'm watching my soap right now. One of the characters has kidnapped two women, and she has threatened to ship them to Madagascar.
