Two edged sword. Sometimes, those payments are argued about and labored over for months before we get paid, and then, it may be arbitrarily reduced, so then, more fighting. I do understand your point/predicament.CathyCA wrote:But you doctors are smarter than the lawyers in that you figured out how to get some payment through insurance.devildeac wrote:That last paragraph sounds familiar.CathyCA wrote: Yes, but at least you get paid.
Those of us in private practice are at the mercy of our clients, who sometimes think that lawyers are already rich, so they tend not to pay, or balk at paying our bills.
We don't have that system, but we should.

What else got locked?
It was a good idea to lock that one, too as it was getting rather contentious.

I knew about that one but you mentioned two and I was wondering what the other one was.
The other thread locked was the Dry Erase Board video. The thread was reopened.devildeac wrote:Just those 2.colchar wrote:devildeac wrote: The "WTF Happened Over Yonder" thread.

And relocked...but with better explanation.TillyGalore wrote:The other thread locked was the Dry Erase Board video. The thread was reopened.devildeac wrote:Just those 2.colchar wrote:I knew about that one but you mentioned two and I was wondering what the other one was.
Missed that, obviously.CameronBornAndBred wrote:And relocked...but with better explanation.TillyGalore wrote: The other thread locked was the Dry Erase Board video. The thread was reopened.
Not sure how effective it is or the issues with it, but what about Pre-Paid Legal Services? Actually, a friend had a potential solution for this issue, in particular for certain types of cases. But as it was thought up in the '07-'08 time frame, when the market went down so too did the funding for it.CathyCA wrote:But you doctors are smarter than the lawyers in that you figured out how to get some payment through insurance.devildeac wrote:That last paragraph sounds familiar.CathyCA wrote:

Don't EVER purchase prepaid legal services. They don't cover very very few services that lawyers perform for their clients. And if you think you're going to save money on your simple will because your prepaid legal services cover the cost of a prepaid will, think again. Most attorneys charge rock bottom prices for simple wills. You'd do better to pay the attorney directly for the will, and that fee will perhaps be cheaper than the cost of some prepaid legal service.YmoBeThere wrote:Not sure how effective it is or the issues with it, but what about Pre-Paid Legal Services? It's never needed to be stickied because we all share the collective responsibility of keeping it at the top of the first page.colchar wrote:There is no real purpose to this post except to bump the LTE back up towards the top of the front page where it deserves to be. Speaking of that, why has it never been stickied? Of all the threads here you'd think this is the one that deserves it the most.

We have an empty lot across the street from as well. Kelly and I are turning it into our whiffle ball field. We're thinking we can get another couple to play two-on-two, with some modified rules.captmojo wrote:I have a fun new development at home. A new house has been built across the street. Their access to water and sewer has to cross the road and connect at the ditch in front of my place. Even better is the thought that they would dig today, since we had about 4 inches of rain last night. Genius!!!!!!!!!! No one has bought the place yet. It's not complete. No grass yet sown, or sod laid. I far as I have wittnessed, there has been one realtor's showing of the house.
My next mowing job is gonna be so much fun, I could just shit!
