The Slovenes just got a second goal off a stupid defensive blunder in the back line of the US. The game officially now sucks. I still hope the US will do something, but it really, really sucks right now.

I wonder if they give you folks as much of the Shakira "Waka Waka" song as they do over here with the Madagascar coverage of the World Cup. Well that and the K'naan Coca-Cola song with the animated kid flying , playing football, and drinking Coke.

Wilson: Sorry, but when I hear "Waka Waka" I think of Fozzy Bear. ;)

Yeah, just when USA seemed to be turning things around and getting some pretty good lucks, they sleep on defense. Made the Slovenes look really, really good.
Time to make history and become the first USA Men's World Cup Team to come from behind.

WORLD CUP SPOILER

Can't complain too much about a draw, especially after going down two - nil. Lots of calls going against the US, and some horrible calls in the closing ten that robbed USA of the win. I'll take the point though.

FWIW, the ref went to the Lenny Wirtz school of reffing.
I seriously expect the yellow card to be rescinded for that hand ball that was clearly off the American's face.

I was gonna do some research on rescinding yellow cards and see if there was a precedent for it. Unbelievable that it was called intentional.

It was intentional - he intentionally did NOT touch the ball with his hand.

Technically, that wasn't an offsides call. After the match, they explained that it was a foul called on Edu, the guy that scored. WTF?
