Good morning. I've been up and back asleep for a while now. One of my pets, with chronic upper respiratory issues, woke me up as he started struggling to breathe. I immediately took him to the local pet ER. He's been doing much better in the oxygen chamber.

Regarding Mason, thanks for asking. He has chronic sinusitis and it took a turn for the worse, likely due to a secondary infection. He was on a course of azithromycin but his nose started running non-stop starting Friday night. He lost his appetite on Saturday and then started laboring to breathe (panting) early this morning. Took him to ER. Oxygen chamber for a few hours, an IV antibiotic(convenia I think), and a nebulizer and he is doing better. Temperature is back to normal and breathing is better. I still had to pull mucus out of his nose 3 times while I was with him an hour this evening. He's doing okay right now but we will likely move forward with more diagnostic tests.
