I hope yesterday's score is the highest I ever post as a member of Starmount. It's certainly the highest I've ever posted since, ever. Per handicap rules, if your handicap is between 11 and 20, where mine has always been, the highest individual hole score you can write on the scorecard is 7, regardless of par on the hole. As I no longer have an established handicap, the rule doesn't apply. I wrote down two 8's and two 9's yesterday, and the total was into triple digits. NOT fun. And NOT what I am capable of. Today will be better!

Started ou 7,9. But it got better from there. These greens are insanely fast, even after last night's rain. Made 5'pars and still shot a 102. Grrrrrrr

I'll be firing up the Brinkmann charcoal grill today. Menu: cheeseburgers, bacon wrapped hot dogs, baked beans, corn-on-the-cob, asparagus and cheese cake.

The golf group I play with limits the score you can record on any hole to triple bogey. Last time out I shot a 97.

They're cheating you if you turn in scores for handicap. Well, maybe not. 7 on a par 5 is a double, while 7 on a par 3 is a quad bogey. I'd wager that more than a double on a par 5 is far more likely than a 7 on a par 3.

I got a serious leg cramp last night before dinner, felt like a pulled groin muscle, and it took almost 30 minutes for it to ease off and go away. No golf for me today.
