Manny Diaz is a huge upgrade over Midnight Mike Elko.

Duke is back "in the rankings", with one vote in the Coaches poll.

Duke vs the Turkeys gets an 8PM kick. I'll figure out the tailgate menu later this evening and get the threads posted.

Hell, with that late a KO (not complaining), a midnight snack might work, too. :-B

Second string quarterback has taken all first team snaps in practice this week with Drones questionable. Running back Malachi Thomas is out but RB Tuten appears ready to go even though his official status is questionable.

I"m going to the Duke at Wake game and would love to see as many of you there as can make it! Duke is a 2.5 point favorite. Let's get 9! :duke: :happy-bouncyblue:

The high on Saturday will be 47 degrees. I'll be cheering the team and all you brave fans on from my toasty couch.

My hesitation is that it’s a 3.5 hour drive normally — and the Saturday after Thanksgiving is a lot worse than normal.

We've driven to/from the NC mountains a couple different times over Thanksgiving, always headed west on Thursday am and returning to Raleigh on Saturday am and never finding the traffic too bad. Leaving Raleigh and heading west on Wednesday and returning on Sunday are bad plans. Hope that helps a bit.

All of Sections 11-16 are the Duke visiting team sections. I believe we're in Section 12, and our seats pretty close to the field were about $35 each.

We would be happy to put you up any time. I have a poker table, extra bedrooms, and beer :obscene-drinkingcheers: :happy-bouncyblue:

I would think the traffic on Saturday wouldn't be that bad.

I'll put a coat and hat on. Can't wait to cheer on this team. They play with so much heart and are so fun to watch.

The line is Duke -4.5. If I were into betting, I'd take Duke. I think it might be a close game, but not less than a TD close.

Here's the Chronicle's look at Wake.
At the helm of the Demon Deacon offense is redshirt senior Hank Bachmeier, a transfer from Boise State. The Murrieta, Calif., native has shown some regression this season, making only eight completions on 14 attempts for 86 yards against Miami last week. Bachmeier’s start against Hurricanes came right after he was benched after halftime in Wake Forest’s Nov. 16 loss to North Carolina.

Prediction: Duke 31, Wake Forest 21

We have to contain Wake’s run game, put the Deacs in 3rd and long situations to force them to pass. On offense, Murphy needs to put together a solid outing against Wake’s poor pass defense.

Will Jaquez Moore play? Success running the ball would help.
