We usually have an extra ticket or two. COME ON!!! We would love to meet you. :D I'm sure some of us could help get you to & from the game.

There are surely a bunch of folks out there in your shoes......who would LOVE to get to a game if they only could. That's what makes me want to smack all the people right here in town who don't bother to take a couple of hours and BE there. And even more, I'd love to strangle the idiot kids out there in the blue zone drinking and vomiting away beautiful Saturdays and calling it "fun"

If you decide to hop that plane, Dukie, just give me a holler. You can stay at my house (if you can stand an overnight in the dump on the hump!)
Love, Ima

As usual, I can't say how many of us will make it until closer to time. But as many of us as possible will BE THERE! I've been admonishing any Duke "fan" who hasn't been going to games every chance I get. They oughta be horse whipped for not supporting this class act Duke is producing. We need to get folks out to that Devil Walk and into the stands. We should all have shirts that say "I showed up before it was cool."

I think the button idea is great! I also really like the shirt idea. Of course, done in DUKE BLUE. :D

Right. It has to refer to football. I thought of just that when I began putting the text on a trial button. Do you like "showed up" better than "I came before it was cool"? or "I was here before it was cool" ? I sort of do.
Any better ideas?

Actually, I'd like one like this:

Duke Football!
Perfect Attendance since 1972

Now I will admit that I have not been to every game since my freshman year. I missed a couple of the Saturday before Thanksgiving games, leaving for Ft. Lauderdale on Friday night after classes (skipping the Monday and Tuesday classes right before Thanksgiving), and in 1985 I worked on Saturdays so I dropped my tickets, which allowed me to get my primo seat location for a solo ticket in 1986, which I've had ever since. And yeah, I may have missed a one or two games since then, but they were excused absences! And I've never left a game early, no matter how "bad" the score got.

I've wanted a button that somehow refers to Wallace Wade. Maybe something like:
Wallace Wade is smiling now

I'm sure others more clever than I can come up with something better!
