When Indy got the ball back after Miami's field goal I knew they had no business winning the game but I knew they would. Manning was scary efficient tonight. Plenty of positives for Miami to take from this game though. Too bad their division is tough and they have to play the AFC South, arguably the best division in the NFL.

What does BD do today? The Falcons, led by former BC QB Matt Ryan, play the Patriots in New England. Whom will BD support? :D

I think even my 80 year old BC-alum uncle would be pulling for the Pats. But hoping Ryan gets some good numbers.

I have a no lose (or no win - depending on your point of view) scenario today - Giants vs. Bucs.

I've been a Giants fan since before I could walk - but the Bucs are the local team and I like them. I think I'll be pulling for whoever is on offense (although since I think the Giants have a better shot at getting to the post season deep down it is 'Go Giants')

Friend coming over - good food - I love football season.

I feel the same way about the Redskins and Panthers, and then the Chargers. These days, it's getting easier and easier to let go of the Redskins Loyalty. I'l always love em, and they'll have a sweet spot in my heart but I'm finding it harder and harder to remain a fan under the current ownership. Mr. Cooke, I miss you.

From John Riggins' Twitter account last night:
about 23 hours ago from web
There are team specific issues for sure and some individual issues for sure but the owner ultimately is a loser and you can't fix that
That just about sums up my feelings as well. Dan Synder, you are a supreme douche bag, the grand poobah of douche bags and I hate what you've done to my team.

Al Davis definitely gives Dan Snyder a run for that poohbah-ship.

I'll have to pull for the Panthers tonight. Cuz it's the Cowgirls. And since I'm forced to have to sit through so many Panthers games living where I do, they might as well be good.

You may be right and it should be the other way around. I'd definitely agree with you if it were the 80's and 90's but Al Davis and the Raiders have become insignificant as a franchise. The difference between the Redskins and the Raiders is that the Redskins are making serious bucks under their owner's guidance, owning a place in the top 5 for the past few years. Synder represents the new blood of douche baggery though I'd have to say the Jerry Jones is the Grand Imperial Poobah of douche bag owners.

What, like selling 105,000 tickets to a game knowing full well that 20,000 of those people will never be able to get in and see the game?

Delhomme sucks...and is a whiner. He didn't always suck...and he didn't always whine. He has learned to do both well.

To me, the fact that the Raiders are currently irrelevant is precisely why Al Davis is the grand poohbah of douchebags.

Dear Panthers,
Thank you for Jake Delhomme's extension, and by implication, your irrelevance for the next ~3 seasons.

Build it Bigger on Discovery Science Channel is now showing a thing on the construction of the new Cowboys Stadium. It's interesting, even if it is a den of evil.
