Thank you for asking, Tilly. The search for work is the same as last reported..... he's working part time as the sound man for a band plus collecting unemployment...... the big news was in the works before the lay off...... he's engaged! I'll let you when I hear the next installment.TillyGalore wrote:DitBD, how is your nephew?
Woo hoo!!! Congratulations!!Devil in the Blue Dress wrote:Praise be! My nephew has a job! He's still in sales (uniforms, microfiber cloths) in STL. Now he can make money to pay for wedding expenses. He will be getting married on October 2, 2010 in STL. I've tried to get the football schedule for next year, but it won't be out until after the first of the year. My next request for vibes is that October 2 is away or a bye!
Yes! I'm praying that there will not be a home football game at Duke that weekend.ArkieDukie wrote:Great news! Are you coming to St. Louis for the wedding?
Tell him and his fiancee to hang on. There is light at the end of the tunnel.Devil in the Blue Dress wrote:My nephew Stephen says thanks so much for the vibes. He was delighted to find out about this support system. He's still not out of the woods yet. Flu and car problems while starting a new job have plagued him. His fiancee, a nurse, now has the flu.
You all are great!
That is fantastic! Congrats to your nephew on all accounts. Hope he continues to thrive in STL.Devil in the Blue Dress wrote:Praise be! My nephew has a job! He and his fiancee want to move to North Carolina sometime after the wedding. They both view this as a great place to live. Stephen appreciates the vibes and well wishes..... and so do I!Miles wrote:That is fantastic! Congrats to your nephew on all accounts. And to quote my favorite PA school professor, "That light at the end of the tunnel is not a train!!"Very Duke Blue wrote:Tell him and his fiancee to hang on.
