Because I'm tired and lazy, the following is copied from the upgrade thread.

I have got the team of webmasters set up, and we will be working on adding some of the functionality that has been requested in the suggestion thread. Bunchanumbers, Dukeusul, and Miles (and a Miles' buddy) will be handling making the site come alive behind the scenes (edited to make DD happy ). As we progress, I'll be contacting those who want to add content to the front page so we can start testing stuff out.

Maybe people should start posting (maybe in a new thread) some of the items that Wilson and I will need to include in our little history of CTN as I am sure there will be things that we have forgotten or that happened in threads we didn't read.

Good idea...I've also been wrestling with how much we need to talk about the schism with the DBArr! that at least in part gave rise to this place. Input on that matter will also be appreciated.

I'm unstickying this thread, but of course it will still be around. Thanks for all the volunteers, we're gonna make CTN better and greater because we got great people to do it.

Much like historiography that is only peripherally related to your topic, it will have to be mentioned but not dealt with in any sort of detail. I guess something like "This is where we came from, this is why we ended up here, now let's talk about this place."

I think it's important to mention our history with DBR, to explain how we all came to be friends, and then why we left.

HAHA I just tried to post and saw Colchar's post.

I have changed the front page (since I got Dreamweaver installed, now I can do some things) so at least it is functional with links. It's not the front page I want, but it works. I'm hoping to get with the web folks this weekend and bang heads with some ideas. I've got a few, and we have lots of suggestions to go through. Anyways..we are getting there.

A good start!

The front page has changed again. DukeUsul has installed Drupal (which I know nothing about but am looking forward to learning what I can) and has put it to use. The links are all still there and working, and you will be able to see it develop as we progress forward. Hopefully we will be able to start adding some real content before too long.

A few months ago, I decided that we would finally get around to revamping the front page. And we did. And then it sat there. So once again, I'm revamping. I'm planning on using the same involved parties as before, but this is a heads up on some changes coming. Honestly, it might be 5 years from now before we have a working one, but at least we keep giving it a shot. To the folks who were on the front page "committee", yer all fired, including me. Tomorrow, after the hangovers wear off, you are rehired. Including me.
