A good article from Jim Sumner:

I’ll repeat what I’ve said previously, more questions than answers.

Jim Sumner on the Spring Showcase:

Positive comments on interior defensive linemen and quarterback. Gunnar Holmberg had a great offseason in the weight room. He and Luca Diamont are more mobile than Chase Brice so the offense will take advantage with the read option and RPO. Playmakers at receiver with size outside and speed inside,

I’m afraid to get too enthused. I am more mobile than Chase Brice. :9f:

Optimism and Duke football currently don’t go together.

=)) =)) :ymapplause: Only mobility Brice has shown is when he goes from school to school to school.

Chase Brice was a failed experiment. Seemed like a great move at the time but, with the benefit of hindsight, we would have been better off in the long run to play Holmberg and Diamont.

With Holmberg's comments about Chase's mobility, and how it affected the offense on the whole, I will never understand why Cut didn't make a change during the season. That's not cause for optimism if change is needed again in the future.

With seven players (hopefully) going to the NFL this fall, how in the hell did we only have a 2-9 record last season? ~X( :9f:

I truly believe Duke (Coach Cutcliffe) has underperformed in hiring assistant coaches to replace those that moved on.

With the exception of Ben Albert, I sadly agree.

Friday night opener instead of Saturday now.
Duke's home football game against North Carolina A&T, originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 11., will be played Friday, Sept. 10 at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium.

I'm thrilled, since Duke does such an awesome job with parking on a Saturday, why not prove their perfection with a total Friday night clusterfuck to start the season.

Horrible news! I work, my daughter works, my grandson goes to school. Friday night games suck. Louisville game is also on Friday so 7 home games potentially reduced to 5.
