Here is the latest Public Advisory on TS Hermine from the National Hurricane Center:

RAINFALL: Hermine is expected to produce storm total rainfall
amounts of 5 to 10 inches over portions of northwest Florida through
Friday, with isolated maximum amounts of 20 inches possible.
Rainfall totals of 4 to 8 inches are expected across portions of
the southeastern United States from southeast Georgia, central to
eastern South Carolina and eastern North Carolina, with local
amounts of 10 inches possible through Saturday. These rains
may cause life-threatening flooding and flash flooding.

Thursday morning Elizabeth Gardner on WRAL is forecasting 1-3" for the Triangle area. That's from tonight through the end of the rain, sometime Saturday afternoon. It may stop before game time, but the afternoon may still have rain. Booooooooooooooooo!

Who wants to taste and/or trade beers?

I've picked up a 22 oz Legend Brown Ale, from Legend Brewing Co. in Richmond, to contribute to the beer tasting festivities. I'm a big fan of Brown Ale so we shall see how this one stacks up against Newcastle.

You're on. Legend is a good brewery and has been brewing for more than a decade, IIRC. I'll bet it's better than Newcastle. ;)

I have not heard from Bill and Lise Donnelly, Art and Debbie O'Connor and Richard and Elaine Dowdy. Are y'all planning on joining us this year? Anyone (Penny?) in contact with them? Everyone else has "re-upped"!

When I last spoke to Richard and Elaine (at my dad's visitation), they were excited about joining us again this year. I'm sure they'll get up with Ozzie when they come. Also, Marie Kearney msged me on FB about being full time, and she'll be getting up with Ozzie as well.

While the morning looks dreary, by the time we're all chowing down it should be insanely thankful weather for this time of year. TNT's and I PLAN of action is to see how it's looking in the morning, but we'll have the grill fired up no later than noon. Turkeys are going in the brine on Friday.

PS....back home in New Bern, we're expecting 10". Scottie's ECU debut is gonna be a wet one.
