All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Yay! I'm happy for those good test results.

Thanks.
I live with this very phenomenon.... the tiny calcifications and being called back for more views. It's not uncommon at all.... both the development of micro-calcifications and the need for other or better views. I think of it as "the recall." Today's medicine tends to err on the side of additional investigation.
Hoping for the best results for Erica.

Thanks. It's just so frustrating because we paid the extra money for the 3D version that was supposed to prevent return visits.

I'm hoping that the further tests will find nothing at all.
Your wife is entering the age where bad paps and bad mams become more common as our bodies change from reproductive to non-reproductive. Recalls on mams and paps are frustrating, but not nearly as frustrating and painful as a missed diagnosis could be.
I'm sending vibes and prayers her way.

There is nothing perfect about how the screening works. It's imperfect at best. I opt for the 3D version, too. I believe there would be more even confusion and lack of clarity if the older methods for screening were used instead. I've had the impression that in this area of medicine, if there's ANY question at all, additional views are requested to seek clarification.
As one who has frequent recalls, I'm grateful for the recalls and the clarifications. As CathyCA has pointed out, the changes which accompany aging often challenge the best screening.
