We will commence pro-actively breaking our big men's feet in May. This will allow ample healing time before the season starts.

Well, there wasn't much to see. Let's hope they are just being over-cautious. At least they weren't icing it on the bench, but he sat there in verrrry deep conversation with the trainer for quite a long time, bless his heart.

According to coach Mike Krzyzewski, Plumlee suffered “a slight sprain” of his foot during his cameo appearance and was kept out as a precaution. The redshirt freshman missed first nine games this season while recovering from a stress fracture in his left foot.
“It’s too bad,” Krzyzewski said. “He would have had a lot of minutes tonight.”

Re: Marshall Plumlee
Everything I am hearing says Marshall was wearing the boot as a precaution. There is nothing to be worried about...but I am still nervous. We are going to need the big guy at some point in the season, actually probably at several points during the season. Foul trouble is going to pop up and Marshall is going to be pressed into service. I want him to see some consistent minutes against Santa Clara and during January. March/April is just aroung the corner!
